prayer is one of those things that can either be fantastic or frustrating. i think that here in the 21st century we followers of jesus have lost a lot of the beauty and vastness of prayer. i love, LOVE, LOVE the book "prayer" by richard foster. there are so many different kinds of prayer, meditation being one of them (how could one not be changed by focusing on the phase "I am" in relation to God? there is just so much contained in those two little words).

The book is from 1998, I believe, and I don't know abotu B&N but I do know it's available on Amazon.com. I do recommend it -- it's compact (146 pages) but stubstantial, and quite poetic. I'm going to write an entry on it in the next few days, now that I've finished the book.

Thanks! I enjoy yours as well.

The book you mentioned by Gail Ramshaw sounds intriguing. How long ago did it come out, and is it available at B&N? I would like to check it out.

I'm enjoying reading your blog, btw.
