Studying Judaism and the Jewish religious texts has been one of the more valuable things I've done this year. if you want I can lend you my copy of Everyman's Talmud (sorry mainstream Jewish culture isn't much on equality). I've endured two "bible" study groups where you never needed a bible at all, and I was a lot less charitable than you. Now I'm in a group where responsibility for studies is likely to be shared out between group members, and generally required the presence of a bible, which I find more agreeable.
