I hesitated before and after I wrote "Bitch" there. I have a conflicted relationship with that word. Also, my mom gets mad at me for insulting myself so that's another issue.

Thanks for the support, Ali and Steve. Still haven't sent the email, though...

First time I've heard someone use "bitch" in the first person. Of course, I often use "dickhead" that way.

I don't think I told you this when you first read me the letter, but I 'dug' your comments on Judaism and its relevence to the Christian faith.

Studying Judaism and the Jewish religious texts has been one of the more valuable things I've done this year.

if you want I can lend you my copy of Everyman's Talmud (sorry mainstream Jewish culture isn't much on equality).

Oh I should add... here's what I said when I raised my voice and interrupted him:

"That's absolutely the worst theology I have ever heard applied to prayer. Are you kidding me?"

He was also the associate pastor.

Last time I was at a small group I raised my voice very loudly at the leader during the middle of his talk on prayer... oh he deserved to be interrupted and yelled at...but that pretty much precluded me ever returning.

In light of that sort of immature response, you should be proud of your feedback.

I think it's pretty constructive. I've endured two "bible" study groups where you never needed a bible at all, and I was a lot less charitable than you. Now I'm in a group where responsibility for studies is likely to be shared out between group members, and generally required the presence of a bible, which I find more agreeable.
