memery plus an extra amusement to start your weekend
Ah, Friday. The day of unabashed meme-blogging and, what else? CJD (Crazy Jim Dobson) Wingnuttery!
Pandagon has the story, but it can be best summed up with this line from the Focus on the Family site:
We know dogs aren’t born mooing. But what about people? Are they “born gay?”
You know it’s bad when they don’t even bother to create the pretense of making sense anymore. Dogs… mooing… gay… science…
I’m really trying, here.

The “dogs mooing” comment will make a lot more sense with a little context.
(searching for the article…)
Okay, found it!
I happened to love the idea of the ad campaign when I read the article (I *heart* the Indy). But I’m not surprised that Dobson completely misses the point.

That is seriously effed up. On the other hand, this is the same organization that thinks Spongebob Squarepants is gay. *rolls eyes*

I am afraid that few things can set my teeth on edge like CJD. God help us…

Why, Jamie!! We may have something in common after all!! This is wonderful. Finding common ground is always a wonderful sensation.
Allison, thanks for ruining my fun with CONTEXT.
Seriously though, thanks. The whole thing makes a little more sense now, but CJD remains C.

LOL! Jenny, I would suspect we have much in common. Many differences, to be sure, but that is the spice of life. As for CJD, I was weaned on him, grew up with his “wisdom” spewed at me daily. Thankfully I had parents who seemed to know better. Dodged a bullet, I suspect.
Peace,
Jamie
